What is Urgent Care?
Urgent Care is designed to support , not replace your primary care physician. It is a convenient alternative when your primary care physician is unavailable during evenings or weekends. Urgent Care is open extended hours to treat patients with conditions that need immediate attention, but not life threatening. No appointment or referral is necessary.
Does Urgent Care replace emergency room visits?
Urgent Care is not intended to replace emergency room visits for serious, life threatening emergencies. It should be used as a sensible alternative to the emergency room for minor illnesses and injuries.
Will my insurance cover urgent care?
The care that you receive at Santé Urgent Care Center is covered by all Santé HMO Plans. A list of covered Urgent Care locations is included. Your co-pay may be significantly lower than the co-pay for an emergency room visit.
How long do I have to wait?
Your waiting time will almost certainly be less than in the emergency room. The Urgent Care staff will treat you as quickly as possible, and you will be seen in a convenient, patient-friendly environment.
Will I received quality care?
The Urgent Care facilities are staffed with board-certified physicians and experienced nurse practitioners. They are all qualified to treat a wide range of pediatric and adult conditions. Each location is equipped with laboratory and diagnostic X-Ray services.
When should I go to the urgent care?
Common conditions which can be treated in an Urgent Care Center include but are not limited to:

Coughs or Colds
Diarrhea or Stomach Cramps
Minor Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries
